Storm Sewer Overflow (SSO)
 A device on a combined or partially separate sewerage system
designed to relieve the system of flows that are in excess of a selected rate.
The excess flows are then discharged, possibly after solid material has been
removed by a CSO, into a watercourse.
The remote monitoring of both CSO's
and SSO's is even more important today due to the regulation in place by the
Environment Agency and OFWAT.

data loggers, which can monitor log and alarm out, fit almost any CSO or SSO
application in use, whether the sensor is an ultra sonic device to a flow
