GSM |

The GSM
interface is a seamless upgrade for those sites which do not have either PSTN
or licensed radio facilities, perhaps because of cost and/or access.
The GSM unit has been designed to operate with most networks on the
market. The electronics inside enable the GSM to remain powered, thereby
maintaining its position on the cheapest network.
The alternative
– powering up the GSM when an alarm dial-out is generated – may not
guarantee a connection when needed and may require the use of a pager to 'wake
up' the GSM unit, adding extra cost to the installation.
